Dolly Wink False Lashes by Tsubasa Masuwaka

I picked this up at a Asian cosmetic store in Chinatown, Sydney and thought I'll scan it to show everyone. It's a postcard style promotional guide cards for Dolly Wink's products which focuses mainly on the false lashes. Dolly wink products are also available in a Black and Brown pencil eyeliner, Black liquid eyeliner, a false eyelash fix/false eyelash glue and a small false eyelash case. (click to enlarge all images)

Below are the images of the front of the cards:

Here are the images of the different types of Dolly Wink false eye lashes available.
No. 1 to 4, in Dolly Sweet, Sweet Girly, Feminine Style and Natural Girly are sets of upper lid false lashes:
dolly wink upper lashes No.1 and No.2
dolly wink upper lashes No.3 and No.4

While No. 5 to 8 in Pure Little, Real Nude, Vivid Pop and Baby Cute are lower lid false lashes:
dolly wink lower lashes No.5 and No.6
dolly wink lower lashes No.7 and No.8

It also has with a guide card explaining how to use their eyeliner, apply the false lashes and removing false lashes. Unfortunately it's in Japanese but that's ok since it's pretty straight forward and their are countless of blogs, youtube clips and sites about it. :P

BeautyMaker Aqua Eye Concealer Review

BeautyMaker Aqua Eye Concealer
BeautyMaker Aqua Eye Concealer (3g) (01 – Bright)
Developed specifically for use under and around the eye area. The ingredients help counteract shadows, reduce redness, hide dark circles & other imperfections and gives skin a more even tone. Long-lasting coverage builds from moderate to full.

Direction: dot on underneath eyes in a semi-circle starting at innermost corner of eye, stopping just before outer corner. Blend into skin with middle or ring finger, using a light patting motion.

I’m not sure why but there’s two sets of ingredients list, one on the product itself, the other on the packaging box. So here’s both of it.
Ingredients labelled on the box: Aqua, Titanium Dioxide / Dimethicone, Isohexadecane, Butylene Glycol,Methyl Gluceth-20, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Extract, Tocopherol, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydrolyzed Algae (Seaweed) Extract, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Isononyl Isonoanoate, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Isododecane, Diisostearoyl Polyglyceryl-3 Dimer Dilinolate, Cetyl Dimethicone, Hydrolyzed Concrliolim (Pearl)Protein, Cig-alkyl Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolyme, Sodium Pca, Hydrolyzed Silk Protein, Scutellair Baicalensis Extract, Amino Acid Peptide Minerals Components, Morus Nigra (Mulberry) Fruit Extract, Propyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Retinyl Palmitate, Butylparaben, Stearyl Glycyrrhizate, Iron OxideYellow, Iron Oxide Black, Iron Oxide Red.

I’ve been using BeautyMaker’s Aqua Series, BeautyMaker Aqua Eye Concealer in Bright/01 for a months now and it’s great! It’s not perfect yet but definitely worth trying out. Here’s what I thought about it.

First let’s start with the packaging, the BeautyMaker Aqua Eye Concealer comes in a sleek black, square plastic compact palette with a mirror inside on the lid. I rather like the simple and easy to use packaging design since there’s no fuse and you can even open it with one hand. On the down side, the lid of the product is pretty much held shut but the plastic sides. So overtime and use, the lid does get a bit loose so it may not be very practical to take out unless you’ve got it in a makeup bag where it’s not going to flip open anytime.

BeautyMaker Aqua Eye Concealer Bright, Swatch The Aqua Eye Concealer itself comes in a moist creamy texture and feels like it melts under the heat of your finger. It’s non drying, long lasting and very comfortable on the eyes; I don’t even feel it at all. You also only need to use a small amount to achieve a very natural medium coverage, which can be built up slowly. It also blends easily in a light tapping motion, I used it as described on the packaging and it works very well.

On the down side, it did crease under my eyes slightly and makes existing creases appear more obvious. I've read other reviews where they've mentioned it doesn't crease, maybe it's just my eyes :P. I also felt it creases faster if you were to build it up to get a high coverage. Being an eye concealer it’s also not going to cover or hide pimples. It does a good job covering redness around the nose but won’t do much for spots. So you will need a separate face concealer if you’re after a flawless look.
Beautymaker Aqua Eye Concealer Swatch
Overall, despite the creasing I still love it. This BeautyMaker Aqua Eye Concealer is great for a natural finish which is the look I usually go for daily. It’s moist and felt weightless under the eye. I also love how quickly and easy it is to blend with a tiny amount of product, yet still achieve a good coverage. I think it would be perfect for those with light dark circles under the eyes. I’ve tried Benefit’s boi-ing concealer before and found it somewhat sticky under the finger and hard to blend. So this is definitely one of the must buy when I’m running out and I don’t plan to buy anymore eye concealers for now. I think I’ve only used about 1/4 in 10months. Lol ^^v Love it!

SugarBaby Diamond Dust Swatches and Thoughts

I stopped by the City Myer (Sydney) yesterday when I noticed saw this small range of makeup by a brand called SugarBaby. It was a little hidden away at the side which I don’t usually pay much attention too :P. Anyway, I decided to swatch it before I left the store. According to their official site SugarBaby.com.au, SugarBaby was originally founded by a pair of Aussie sisters Lizie and Nicci Clifton in 1998.

Product details from Sugarbaby.com.au, they also have a list of ingredients on the page if anyone is interested.

Diamond Dust Shimmer Shadows (3g / 0.10 oz)

Add some luxe to your look and steal the spotlight with these captivating iridescent loose eye shimmers. Pearlised, powdery-fine and silky soft loose pigments that deliver a sexy shimmering shadow.

Directions: Un-screw cap and apply directly to lids using foamed tip applicator. Tap gently to remove an excess powder is required.
--

Here the swatches of their eye shadows they had on display which you’ll see in the image below. Sorry I’ve forgotten some of the colour names, so I’ve matched it up as best as I could based on their website.

I don’t really use store testers on my face or eyes so here’s my thoughts about it from swatching only. The shadow is in the form of a fine loose powder and comes in a plastic tube with a sponge eye shadow applicator. It’s also got a gem on top of the lavender coloured lid which gives it a very girly bling bling feel to it. Personally it feels very barbie like to me...

It’s easy to use and gives an even application of colour besides copper, brunette and noir. The shimmery-ness is also very similar to a lot of Japanese shadows, the colours were soft but not as sheer except for Brunette. The shadows also transferred very easily even from a slight touch with my finger. Although it didn’t reduce the swatch’s colour by much however it does rubs off easily.

For my I really liked the shades but it’s a shame it rubs off so easily since I’m so conscience about makeup getting onto my clothes or other people’s clothes. lol Maybe next time I’ll do swatches on their glitter liner range :P

Anyone tried their products before?

Recent Haul

After a long wait my package from Sasa finally arrived! Yay! I don’t know about you but I love opening all those bubble warps and getting my hands on my stuff! >=3 Of course that excitement doesn’t always last too long, but none the less a great feeling. Lol

Anyway, things happen both good and bad; and it being my birthday this month (last week to be exact :P) I’ve let myself spend more than usual since it’s the perfect excuse :D . It all starts with “I’ll get that as a early bday gift” to “it’s just been my b’day so I think I’m entitled to get something special” and finally “well it’s my birthday this month so I guess it’s ok to buy that too”. Do any of you do that too? :P

Another thing to make it worse is it’s far too easy to shop online! So here the first package that’s arrived. Just some more Beautymaker things, their Trans foundation shake up with SPF 13PA++ which I will use after I finish my current foundation from Clinque. And the super cute Love Pu Pu Cheek blush, which you’ve probably seen if you read Fuz’s blog (great blog if you haven't seen it!) Likewise for the Dariya magic hair sheets. I thought I’ll try out the Dollywink products too after seeing it on the beautiful eki’s blog :), its worth checking out if you haven’t seen it already. They’re a bit pricey and the lashes are huge compare the average false eyelashes, I’ll get some proper pictures once I dig my camera out :P it’ll be alone better than taking it on my phone... then a few packages of Mentholatum’s oil control films and lastly cotton pads in the big pink box by a brand called Sam Tin. Never heard of it but it says they’re made from 100% natural wood pulp tissue! When I read that I was like WHOA I gotta try that out! LOL ^^v so there it is.

Now to wait for the other stuff to come in and to refrain from buying anymore things for awhile. ^^" but Yay to new clothes, shoes and handbag. haha
