Bio-Oil comes in a simple plastic bottle, like Toners so be careful not to pour too much out. It’s a orange clear liquid oil with a light fragrance, comes out clear and oily to the touch.. From when I bought it, I’ve been using this on my face consistently alone without other moisturisers for about 5months, twice a day as recommended on the bottle. Lately I’ve been trying other things but yea...
Anyway it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin looking moisturised, feel soft and smooth but does makes your skin appear shiny. You only need a small amount, if you use too much you’ll find your skin feeling greasy and very shiny. I find the best way is to put some on your hands and pat it to your face then spreading it. You can use any excess on your arms or legs so none is wasted =P.

It’s greatly improved my scars and other blemishes, and I’m pretty prone to scarring so that’s really helpful. It’s also evened out my complexion because my skin use to be really patchy with red marks particularly on my cheeks. Now it’s a lot more even, less red and my skin appears smooth and toned.

It also hydrates my skin very well. My cheeks in particular get very dry, I’ve tried other moisturisers for combination skin either it doesn’t hydrate enough leaving my skin dry, stretchy, and peeling. Or I start breaking out, but so far I have not had any break outs or problems from using Bio-oil and my skin doesn’t peel. Even though it leaves a slight shine on my face the benefits outweigh it be far. Something I’ve experienced is that you do need something over it like a different hydrating moisturiser if you are using foundation that dries your skin. Even though you shouldn’t be using foundation that dries out your skin in the first place but if you do, you’ll need something more that locks in the moisture in your skin.

Overall, I would highly recommend it. It comes in 3 sizes: 60mL, 125mL and 200mL. I’ve read other reviews and some people love it while others don’t, but from my experience it’s been great. If you’re unsure about it you could always get the smallest 60mL to try. I haven’t personally tried Bio-Oil on stretch marks yet though =P
